Gracie has contracted the Chicken Pox. We knew that it would be a possibility since it was one of the vaccinations we opted out of. However, we had no idea if/when she would get them. We are unaware of any acquaintances who have had the chickenpox recently, so we are left to assume that while we were visiting family in Oregon earlier this month that she possibly was exposed while playing on a playground inside the Portland Airport. There were a number of other children playing there, and whether one of them had been exposed, or whether germs on the toys were still alive and ready to jump on the next vulnerable child, we have no idea....Fact is, she's got them. Fact is, we're dealing with them right now :) She has been a little trooper - mostly happy at times. These pictures give a little glimpse into how our week has been -- she's been one big coconut oil grease-ball as that is what seems to relieve her of the itching. We rub her down with her "coco" and she seems to do better! Glad we are getting this one over with now!
